ESL
ESL classes are designed for adults who want to improve English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. All classes are open entry/open exit. Instructors use a variety of instructional methods to accommodate all learning styles. Classes are designed to help students obtain a job, become more involved in children’s education, learn to communicate family health needs, become involved in community activities, and learn citizenship skills.

We offer both morning and evening classes. You may register and take a reading placement test on every second or fourth Monday or Tuesday mornings at 8:30am and 10:30 am or on Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm (except holidays) in D-6. The reading placement test will determine your class level. No one may enter after testing begins and no children are allowed in the testing room. You will be post-tested at the end of each quarter to determine advancement to the next class level. Fifteen credits of lower level English can be transferred toward your high school English credits in the high school diploma program.

To register you will need to:
- Allow 2 hours for testing and registration
- Bring a passport or a government-issued photo ID

Citizenship
This class prepares foreign-born students for the citizenship test to become naturalized U.S. citizens. A brief summary of U.S. History and an explanation of the U.S. system of government are presented. Actual citizenship interview and testing is done by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

To register, you will need to:
- Allow 2 hours for testing and registration
- Bring a passport or government-issued photo ID.
